Please see below the Upper East Side items on the LPC Agenda for June 17, 2008. Public hearings are held in the Conference Room at the Municipal Building, 1 Centre Street, 9th Floor, Borough of Manhattan. Any person requiring reasonable accommodation in order to participate in the hearing or attend the meeting should call or write the Landmarks Commission no later than five business days before the hearing or meeting. Hearing times are announced on the LPC website, the Friday prior to a hearing.

980 Madison Avenue - Upper East Side Historic District
A modern gallery building designed in 1948-1950 by Walker & Poor. Application is to alter the facades; to demolish rooftop and rear additions; construct an addition and to establish a Master Plan governing the future installation of storefront infill.

An Italianate style rowhouse designed by John G. Prague and built in 1871-75. Application is to install an awning.
177 East 71st Street - Upper East Side Historic District
A neo-Federal style residence designed by S. E. Gage and built in 1909-10. Application is to construct a rooftop addition.
107 East 70th Street - Upper East Side Historic District
A Tudor Revival style residence designed by Walker & Gillette and built in1920-21. Application is to install of a barrier-free access ramp and legalize the application of a masonry coating.
114 East 65th Street - Upper East Side Historic District
A Beaux-Arts style residence designed by Buchman & Deisler and built in 1899-1900. Application is to enclose a rear terrace.
