Please see below the Upper East Side items on the LPC Agenda for Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Public hearings are held in the Conference Room at the Municipal Building, 1 Centre Street, 9th Floor, Borough of Manhattan. Any person requiring reasonable accommodation in order to participate in the hearing or attend the meeting should call or write to the Landmarks Commission no later than five business days before the hearing or meeting. Hearing times are announced on the LPC website, the Friday prior to a hearing.
21 East 67th Street – Upper East Side Historic District: LAID OVER
A residence originally built in 1879-80, and altered in the neo-French Classic style by Philip Aehne in 1919. Application is to enlarge a window and replace doors.
19 East 72nd Street – Upper East Side Historic District: APPROVAL of Windows, Awnings, and Signage. DISAPPROVED Door.
A Modern/neo-Classical style building designed by Rosario Candela and built in 1936-37. Application is to replace windows and a door, and install awnings and signage.
