FRIENDS' Testimony:

The proposed changes at 860 Madison Avenue are minimal and tasteful. The retractable awnings are attractive and contribute to the commercial character of the building and street, while the added signage is modest. While the new mechanical units on the roof are slightly visible – understandably due to the height of the building – they are small enough that they do not detract from the building. FRIENDS’ Preservation Committee supports this application.
