FRIENDS' Testimony:

Our Preservation Committee finds the new, smaller greenhouses to be a vast improvement over the existing, which is large and clunky and detracts from the building’s beautiful facade. Although the visibility is reduced because this unit is so high up, we appreciate that the applicant has chosen to evoke the historic greenhouse appearance with the slanted roof and multi-light windows. The muntins, however, look to be a bit wide in the rendering, and we hope that the applicant can work to achieve a slim profile similar to the appearance of the historic greenhouses. In addition, the restorative work, especially to the terra cotta, is applauded. Overall, FRIENDS supports this project.
